My Journey as an artist is a search for my voice as a creative human being.  Through my art I  wish to express the beauty and wonder that I see in the world.  It is there for everyone to see, as though we each  had a different set of colored glasses.  The inspiration and passion that helps me to create comes from my vision and my Journey. Perhaps it is not as the world truly is but it is in the magic moments and treasured seconds that pass so quickly that I capture. Let me share with you the grace and beauty I see in the human spirit.  The delight I feel as I watch light caress the delicate curve of a child's cheek and the mystery found in the shadow cast from surroundingcolors.  The magic of a world I see blessed with beauty of light and the mystery found in the shadows that make the light possible.  The tapestry of a personality expressed in a portrait are the qualities I strive to express in my work.  The sense of place  represented by a landscape is possible through light, color, texture and strokes, small and large and yet seem to bring the viewer, a feeling of being there.  A painting should present new insight to the viewer, in addition to confirming existing ideas to your senses.  You as a viewer share in this experience with me, through my eyes, as I search for a way to interpret my visions.   The world around us is so complex that it is the very important people and the fleeting moments we want to capture for posterity.
